This is a set of four glass bowls designed in the mid century by Joe Colombo. The molded clear glass bowls feature a unique geometric shape with two square handles and a pedestal base, allowing the bowls to stack seamlessly.
While originally designed as a soup bowl, its generous shape makes it suitable for various uses like cereal, yogurt, or desserts.
These bowls measure 6 1/4” wide including handles (4 3/8” not incl them); and 2 3/4” tall.
These bowls are in excellent condition with the exception of one small chip near the handle of one of them. It isn’t egregious and it’s not that noticeable. See last pic. Other than that, they are in great condition.
The base is stamped “Italy”
Joe Colombo (1930–1971) was a highly influential Italian industrial designer and artist known for his futuristic, modular, and functional approach to 1960s design. Though primarily a product designer, his work included iconic glass items like the "Arno” stacking glasses and bowls (1968).
