Lines/stripes are horizontal (side to side). Beautiful color!! Sweater is very soft and cozy feeling. Sweater isn't thick or chunky to me it's on the thinner side. Material(s): 73% Rayon 24% Polyester 3% Spandex. This has been washed a few times but I weirdly never ended up ever wearing it.
