This is a Nikon AF NIKKOR ED 70-300mm F4-5.6D lens.
It's famous for its good image quality and affordability as a super-telephoto zoom lens from the film era. It's the successor to the Ai AF Nikkor 75-300F4.5-5.6S, which I am currently selling.
I've probably taken about 100,000 shots with it on a Nikon D5, D800E, and D7200.
It's lightweight and has a fairly fast AF speed. In situations where the settings weren't ideal, the D800E seemed to react better than the D5, and it can still track moving subjects without any problems.
Unfortunately, the zoom ring is broken, and the front focus section extends and retracts to achieve a straight zoom, so the actual focal length range is about 90-300mm. Therefore, I am offering it at a reduced price.
Optically, there is some dust, but no mold, clouding, or balsam separation, and there are no issues that would affect shooting.
Autofocus, aperture mechanism, and all shooting modes work without any problems.
The filter diameter is 62mm, and the minimum focusing distance is 1.5m.
Since it has an aperture ring, it can be used with the latest mirrorless cameras via a mount adapter.
