Vintage Josef Original's Porcelain Birthday girl October figurine. Made in Japan. Circa 1960-1962. No chips, cracks or damage. Still retains original manufacturer gold foil sticker.
This little porcelain doll is from the birthstone doll collection, circa 1960, and made in Japan. Her attire is a blue dress accented in gold, all hand painted including her lovely face with the signature black eyes, 1942-1960s. She is caring a deep pink daisy with a simulated pink (representing a tourmaline) semi-precious birthstone in the center. The precious stone for October is the Opal. Stamped on the base "Josef Originals" with copyright mark and oval foil "Japan" label. On her dress is the gold and black foil label "October, Opal by Josef". She measures 3.75" in height and 3.75" across the base. The figurine has no cracks, crazing, chips or repairs. So sweet and ready to find a new October Birthday friend!
