Melody Cradle Piano Dolly for Upright Pianos - Move your piano with ease while protecting your floors and walls. This two-piece dolly attaches securely to the base of the piano. The wheels have a precision double ball bearing so the piano rolls with ease and brakes on the pedal side of the piano. Four rolling bumpers protect the wall from marks and scapes. The Melody Cradle is very easy to install. This dolly is designed for permanent use, but could also be used for infrequent moves and easily removed. This kit comes with installation instructions. The kit includes: two dollies, 4 lag screws (optional use for back of piano), 2 pressure plates (front of piano), 4 pressure plate bolts with nuts. Ideal for schools, churches, performance halls and convention centers. Made and assembled in the USA by Cass Hudson Company. Ships only to the continental United States. Installation Instructions: 1. Set front bolts so that they are just started in the frame. Remove the lag screws from the back. Place dollies at end of piano so that wall rollers are at the back of the frame. 2. Place one dolly close to the end of the piano. Place a 2x4 block on edge next to the dolly. 3. Lift one end of the piano up and over the dolly onto block. Remove stem casters from socket and then lift piano back into the dolly. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the opposite end. 5. Move the dollies snugly against the back of the piano and close the ends of the piano. Place pressure plate lip up on pedal rail, turn front screws against the pressure plate. Firmly tight plate again the pedal rail. 6. On the backside of the piano, use a ¼” drill bit to make a pilot hole for the tap screws. Screw in the tap screws provided. The dollies are now a permanent part of the piano.
