Half Dome at SunsetHalf Dome, in Yosemite National Park, is one of the most beautiful and unique peaks in the world. I made this image as I was driving to dinner, around sunset. I saw the unusual shadows and I pulled off the road and took my camera into a meadow just in time to catch a very special light. It really emphasizes the form and texture of the famous mountain. The shadows of the lower foreground peaks can be seen on Half Dome itself.
